Craniosacral Therapy

Light-touch, nervous-system-focused work for headaches, migraines, TMJ, post-concussion recovery, and stress-related tension — a gentle reset for an overloaded system.

Book a Session

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is an extremely light-touch approach that works with the subtle rhythms of the tissues surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Rather than manipulating muscle, CST uses gentle, sustained contact — often just a few grams of pressure — to help release restrictions and encourage the nervous system to settle out of a chronic stress or guarding pattern.

It's one of the gentlest modalities I offer, and often the right fit for people whose systems are already overloaded — from chronic pain, from a head injury, from ongoing stress, or from medical treatment that leaves little tolerance for anything more assertive.

Who this is for

What to expect in a session

You'll remain fully clothed, usually lying face-up on the table. Contact is still and light — I may hold your head, feet, or sacrum for extended periods without much visible movement. Many people find the stillness disorienting at first and then deeply calming; some feel subtle releases of tension, others simply feel their nervous system downshift. It is not uncommon to feel very relaxed, occasionally emotional, or to fall asleep.

Sessions are typically 45 to 60 minutes. Because the work is cumulative for chronic patterns like migraines or TMJ, a short series is often more informative than a single visit.

Craniosacral Therapy FAQ

Is craniosacral therapy a replacement for medical care?

No. CST is a complementary approach that works alongside your physician's care for headaches, migraines, TMJ, or post-concussion recovery — not a substitute for medical evaluation or treatment.

What does it feel like?

Very still and very light — often described as more subtle than any other bodywork. Many people find it deeply calming; it's common to feel emotional shifts or fall asleep.

How many sessions will I need?

For chronic patterns like migraines or TMJ, a short series — often 3 to 6 sessions — gives a clearer sense of whether it's helping before deciding on an ongoing pace.

Is it safe after a concussion?

CST's gentleness is often well suited to post-concussion recovery, but timing and clearance should follow your physician's guidance, especially in the earlier stages of recovery.

Carrying tension your body won't release?

A gentle reset for an overloaded nervous system. New clients welcome.
